Is this different from recessed soffit lighting?
The look is the same; the construction is not. Nothing is cut into your soffit — the fixtures sit in the low-profile channel along the fascia, which also means nothing to patch or repaint later.
Can down lights and holiday lights run together?
Yes — it is one system. You can run a warm white wash on the walls while the roofline does color, or drive everything as one scene.
Does it attract bugs like porch lights do?
LEDs run far cooler than incandescent bulbs and can be set to warmer tones, which draw noticeably fewer insects than bright white porch fixtures.
